We all desire certain things out of life and it is not always easy to accomplish these goals on our own. Sometimes we don’t even know how to begin. Having a coach to encourage and guide the best within you and is trained to get you through your stumbling blocks, is a powerful resource. This is what I offer, be it from the comfort and privacy of my consulting rooms in Frankleigh Park, or over the telephone or Skype.
Throughout my career in the fitness industry, I have noticed how someone’s own thinking could hold them back from achieving what I know them to be capable of and the same has been true for me in my own life.
For some time I was searching for the tools that would enable me to help these people more.
I then discovered the amazing power of Neuro Linguistic Programming or NLP.
In 2010, I qualified as an NLP Master Practitioner, recognised by the International Association of NLP. As a natural progression, I then qualified as an NLP Life Coach, recognised by the International Association of Coaching Institutes later that same year. I am currently a Professional Member of the New Zealand Association of NLP.
I have been working with clients using NLP since that time and in every case the results have been “Positively Life Changing”.
NLP is the study of human excellence and success. It provides simple yet incredibly powerful methods for changing the way you think, feel, behave, and learn, so that you consistently achieve the results you want in your personal and professional life. Put another way, NLP provides an understanding of how to remove habits you don’t want, and replace them with ones you do want.
As Aristotle observed almost 2,500 years ago:

Overcoming an upsetting experience or phobia
Many people are inhibited from living the life they truly want because of a stressful experience that has profoundly affected them. This could be a phobia, such as spiders or heights, or it could be a distressing emotional or stressful event or series of events.
Relieving allergies
Allergies are an annoying part of life for many of us. Whether you’re allergic to animals or you have hay fever you will likely agree that life would be a bit easier without them. The NLP allergy process resets your immune system to recognise what is truly dangerous to you and what is not. Most people find their symptoms either eliminated or significantly reduced, and experiencing a level of comfort they haven’t felt in years.
Decision Making
Some of us have a terrible time when it comes to making important decisions. Second guessing ourselves every step of the way and constantly looking for other people’s approval can tie us into knots and keep us from making even the easiest of decisions. By creating effective decision making strategies, you will be able to simplify any decision making process.
Setting and Meeting Goals
Setting goals is a part of life. It is the only way to grow and to reach new heights. We often set goals for our health, our finances and our free time. Being comfortable in new situations
Most of us experience a certain level of discomfort when entering new situations. Whether it’s visiting a new city, starting a new job or meeting your in laws for the first time, new situations tend to be stressful. Most of us don’t perform at our best when we’re stressed. With the tools NLP offers, you will find that new situations are as comfortable as those activities you do every day.
Socialising and networking with confidence
For many people, the thought of attending a social or networking event, no matter how much it will help advance their social life, business or career, is so unpleasant they will avoid it at all costs. Often this is because they don’t know how to connect with strangers. NLP offers the skills you need to establish rapport, connect with people and create a memorable interaction. Learning the strategies to build relationships in very little time will give you the confidence to attend any networking event or party.
Diffusing tense situations more easily
We all encounter situations that are tense. Whether it’s blatant tension between people or there is something more subtle going on, it seems everyone has occasion to need to know strategies for diffusing potentially difficult situations. By learning and utilizing specific communication skills and strategies you will be able to, not only diffuse tense situations, you’ll often be able to help all parties involved to walk away satisfied. This is a very powerful skill to have and will make you admired and respected by many for your cool head and calming effect in difficult situations.
I have found NLP to be particularly effective at helping clients overcome issues that they have been coping with for some time. Just as in postural work, where correcting one area of the body can have significant benefits for other parts of the body, clearing mental difficulties can enable to you to pursue goals that you may never have considered before.

Our time together is goal focussed – you determine the outcomes of the coaching and my role is to help you formulate your goals in a way that they have every chance of succeeding. I also help you stay focused towards achieving those goals. It all begins with you making contact to arrange a mutually suitable time for up to a 30 to 40 minute no-obligation discussion. This could either be in person, on Skype or over the phone.
Our first discussion
At our first discussion, we will talk about your aims and I will explain what I believe is likely to be involved with achieving your desired outcomes. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions and gather the information you need before deciding to move forward.
What will your sessions be like?
Whether our sessions are in person, over the telephone or on Skype, you can expect our time together to be strictly confidential, constructive, productive and affirming. The first session is typically longer, one and half to two hours, with subsequent sessions usually an hour long. You will determine the outcomes of each coaching session and I will help you find ways to attain them.
How many sessions?
The number of life coaching or NLP sessions varies enormously depending on the needs of the client and the outcomes they are seeking. If you are looking to deal with a particular personal issue using NLP, we will have comparatively few sessions. If you are looking to achieve personal, business or life goals you may choose to work with me for relatively longer periods of time. Much of your work would be completed between sessions, based on clear and specific outcomes, plans and tasks established in our sessions.

If you need to change the time of your session, please let me know as soon as possible and at least 24 hours prior to it. Since I reserve space and time for your session, in the case of ‘no-show’ 100% of the session fee may apply.
